I ran what?!

You'll never believe what I did yesterday. Wait... I can't even believe what I did yesterday.
 Tuesday nights I have 2 friends come over and we do Zumba for the Wii. It's a good work out. We'll there we were shaking our tail feathers when one of the girls Wii Mote died. I had no extra batteries. We were kind of bummed. So me and my friend start hinting saying "Well.. maybe we can go to the gym" So what happened? We ended up at the gym. So two of us are on the treadmill and the other on the bike. The one in the bike decided it was getting late so she headed home. So my friend and I stayed on the treadmills. She 's doing a 5k this weekend and is training. I am not. lol but I ran a little with her. Before I knew it, I was almost at a mile! My friend finished and came over a rooted me on. I RAN A MILE IN 19 MINUTES! To a fit skinny girl that's horrible. But for a horizontally gifted girl like me! I was pretty proud of myself! So we went back to my apartment. We're sitting there talking and it got quiet. I pipped up and said "..I kinda want to go run some more" and she said "ME TOO!!!!" So we went. BACK to the gym. Who am I?! We ran another mile and I did it in 16 minutes!! That does look dramatic enough let me try that again..
I'm so proud of myself!
Okay... so there is a "Beach Dash" in October. It's a 5k (3.1 miles) run with obstacles. I have always wanted to run through an obstacle course. I haven't officially said that I'm going to do it. (my mind wont allow me) I'm scared that I wont be able to do it. But I'm going to run more and see if I can do 3 miles total. We'll see.
     But I know one thing for sure..  I'm sooo ready for my skinny "AFTER"  picture.

No cake?!

Just a Quickie today.
Today is my boss's birthday. She's an amazing person so I couldn't just get her a regular cake. I got her favorite cake ever! A 3 layered coconut creme cake. I ordered it, picked it up, and served it. It smelled AMAZING! And everyone is standing around eating the cake, describing how good it is, telling me about the texture. (glad they liked it) lol. They were even trying to get me to cave. But cave I did NOT! See picture below.
I'm proud. Honestly. It's getting really really easy to say no to sugar.

Its the small things in life..

Lost another pound! I'm at 271 now. Woo hoo!
So today is Sunday, and the Pastor at my church named it "Celebration Sunday" meaning if you did give something up for 40 days, you can have it today only. Don't go crazy , and only if you feel like you can go back to giving it up on Monday. So I thought a lot about it and I decided to get a small sundae from sonic. It was just ice cream, hot fudge and nuts but I tell you what. When I put that first spoonful in my mouth, after no sugar for 13 days, I felt like I was eating the richest most delicious dessert in all the land! Best $2 spent!
I also made my self little goals. Like if workout everyday, I get something at the end of the week. Nothing big but, things I want. Like a trip to the beach, or going to pick strawberries. This week I was successful and got my reward today. A brand new cup!! I drink water allll the time. I love it! And I just got a new nice purse so I don't want any chance of leakage or spills in it. So my hubby bought me a "camelback cup" it's has a double wall so no condensation problems and you have to bite it a little to get the water to come out so no chance of spills. I know I'm a bit weird to be so excited about a cup but I'm usually so cheap so for me to own a nice $20 cup is a big deal. Here is a picture :)

Short but VERY Sweet

Okay. So I'm still going strong 10 days no Bad sugars. But I've been wanting SOMETHING sweet. So I went to Jamba Juice. I looked at their menu and I just wasn't feeling like Orange or the regular smoothies. And then there is was.. on the right side of the menu. It said. "Chunky Strawberry Topper" 
It has Strawberries, Bananas, Nonfat Plain Yogurt (Contains Milk), Soymilk (Contains Soy), Fresh Bananas, Organic Pumpkin Flax Seed Granola (Contains Soy & Wheat), Peanut Butter (Contains Peanuts)
It was amazing!!! I think if that is in my life, I could live without Ice cream. Now, I did have to sacrifice some calories. 520 to be exact. But I think I might make this an every Friday treat. Who knows. 
For dinner I had the spirit of Martha Stewart come over me and I made a Braided Spaghetti stuffed bread. From scratch..ish. But it turned out good. Hubby loved it!

I feel like a new (still chubby) me!

Weighed myself this morning, wet hair and all. ( I say that because if my hair is wet and I haven't lost any weight I can blame it on the POUNDS of water in my hair still.) Any who!. I lost 2 pounds!!!! I'm now at 272. Exciting. I gave up bad sugars last week. Started off as a lent idea,and I'm VERY impressed with myself. 9 days going strong. Now, you have to really know me to understand how HUGE this is! I'm the type of person that HAS to have something sugary after I eat. So breaking that habit started off REALLY hard but I'm getting better and better. I work at a church office and yesterday the who staff went out to lunch at this fancy place. the food was DELISH! Perfect Portions. Then all of a sudden... the question comes out.. "would you folks like some dessert?" AHHH!!!!! YESS!! I DO!!! But I can't. So everyone around me eating cheesecake, and creme brulee, and bread pudding and  Chocolate cake. Me? I just sit there. Just sippin' on my nice cold water.
But you know what? I felt good afterwards. I'm proud of myself.
   Now the weird part happened after work. I get home at about 5:10. I call my hubby thats on his way home too and ask "what time are we leaving to go to church" he responds "5:45" So I have 30 mins. Normally I would've sat my butt on that couch and watched some tv while eating something unhealthy and random. But noooooooooo. What did this new Debbie do? Without skipping a beat, I put my gym clothes on, went to the gym(in the apartment complex), worked out on the elliptical for 15 minutes (which normally I can barley do 5 mins) then come back home take a shower and I'm ready to go by 4:45. INSANE!!! I couldn't believe what I just did!
   I really feel like a changed woman. During work, if I start craving bad foods and sugar I've been going to pintrest and looking at "fitness stuff" and I get so inspired that the cookie I'm craving becomes not even worth it. I really think this is it! I'm going to get skinny Finally!!!
